Why I'm starting to write
Writing is thinking with the lights on. A short note on what this blog will be.
For years I've kept a messy folder of notes — half-finished thoughts about systems I've built, bugs that cost me a weekend, and ideas I wanted to try someday. This blog is my attempt to finish some of those thoughts in public.
Writing forces clarity. When I explain a design decision in a Slack thread, I can wave my hands. When I write it down for strangers, I have to actually understand it.
What you’ll find here
- Engineering notes — distributed systems, Kafka, scaling for sale-day traffic, observability.
- Building things — progress on open-source tools and side businesses I’m exploring.
- Thoughts — career, learning, and the occasional opinion.
The best way to learn something is to explain it to someone else.
I’ll aim for one post a month. If something resonates, send me a note — I’d love to hear from you.
